Are you a teacher and parent?

It is possible that you are a teacher but also a parent at a school that uses Ziber. It is then possible to log in to Ziber Team (for the team) and Kwieb (for the parent) with one Ziber ID (account), but we do not recommend this . It is better to log in to Ziber Team with your school email address and to Kwieb with your private email address (as a parent).

Side effects if you use the same Ziber ID for Ziber Team and Kwieb

When you use one Ziber ID (Account), various side effects arise that can be experienced as annoying;

• Role management - Under your profile you will see the role you are a teacher of... or parent of... When a parent tries to reach you, it can be confusing if it also says 'Parent of...'.
• Privacy settings - As a teacher, you may want to share different data than in the role of a parent. The privacy settings are account-bound and can therefore have an effect on the operation in a way that you might not expect.
• Topics - In topics you are not reachable for parents from Kwieb - your name is there, but is light gray and cannot be selected. Topics are linked to your Ziber ID and that is why you see the same conversations in Kwieb as in Ziber Team, which can be confusing because you expect your parent conversations in the Kwieb app, for example.
• Do not disturb - When you use the 'do not disturb' function in Ziber Team, it applies to your Ziber ID and you will not receive any notifications in Kwieb either.

How do you prevent these side effects?

To prevent these side effects, we recommend that you create a Ziber ID for the Ziber Team app based on your school email address and for the Kwieb parent app, create a Ziber ID based on your private email address.

How do you turn 1 account into 2 separate accounts?

If you currently have 1 Ziber ID for both apps, you can follow these steps to use a different Ziber ID per app:

• Go to Kwieb
• Press log out (in your profile)
• Start Kwieb and create a new account (use your private email address)
• Now send an email to support@ziber.eu from your school email address with the following information:
  Subject: Convert Kwieb account
  Please let us know which email address you used with Kwieb (your old account)
  Please let us know which email address you would like to use Kwieb with now (your new account)
  
  
• We will convert the data in Kwieb for you and confirm this by email.
